Job Title: Animal Health Manufacturer Sales Representative (Remote)
Multiple Territories Available - OR/WA/ID and No. CA/NV/UT

Supervisor: Regional Sales Director

Position Purpose: The Sales Representative conducts sales out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers. They are responsible for offering the best possible customer experience as well as providing hands-on explanations of any new or updated products when necessary. This position will work as an ambassador and establish and maintain good relationships with customers, veterinarians, clinics, and distributors based on their assigned territory.

Job Responsibilities (* denotes essential job function):

  • Utilize multiple mediums of communication to efficiently connect with prospects, customers, veterinarians, clinics and distributors to increase sales within assigned geographical territory. *
  • Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts utilizing our Sales Force platform. *
  • Develop sales tactics to educate customers with a focus on features of Aurora’s portfolio of products. *
  • Establish pipeline of potential customers, working towards expanding and growing sales in assigned territory by following up frequently. *
  • Monitor the company’s industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer's specific needs. *
  • Work directly with distribution partner's outside sales representatives. *
  • Meets or exceeds sales goals established by management. *
  • Attends approved Trade Shows and Conferences as requested. *
  • Prepares monthly plan, weekly call reports and monthly expense reports. *
  • Executes and provides progress reviews on yearly business plan to management, update as needed. *
  • Determine strategic and innovative ideas and practices to differentiate Aurora products. *
  • Communicates effectively with all sales team and management, following the chain of command when issues arise. *
  • Follows all company policies, procedures, regulations and the employee handbook*
  • Follows designated work schedule. *
  • Accepts and acts upon supervisory directions.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, i.e. willingly takes on new tasks. *
  • Promotes a positive, can-do attitude*
  • Collaborates in cross functional team*
  • Consistently follows all company policies & procedures*
  • Performs other duties as requested
  • Meets the following physical requirements: *
    • Sits, stands, walks 90% of the time*

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Outside sales experience in animal health industry
  • Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator's license and have an acceptable driving record
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and rapport
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Performs with high level of confidentiality
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Must be able to travel overnight 50% of the time to manage assigned territory

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, economics, communications or similar field preferred
  • 5+ years outside sales experience in the animal health industry
