Job Description

This position is one of the most important positions on our team. As a housecall vet, we strive to provide quality service. We are looking for someone who is willing to work as a technician and a receptionist. As a technician you will be responsible for assisting the veterinarian, speaking with clients, holding pets, drawing blood, assisting in surgery and many other technician responsibilities. As a receptionist you will be responsible for scheduling the doctor’s appointments and we would be relying on you to be able to make a routing schedule that saves on drive time. Happily answering the phone, handling client communication, faxing, emailing, and packaging, and sending products to clients are handled by the receptionist. We communicate directly with clients throughout the day via email, text and phone calls. It is important that the person in this position has a good understanding of basic veterinary medicine including the importance of wellness examinations, vaccinations, sick visits, and heartworm, and flea medication.
