Sr. Technical Development Scientist - Veterinary Vaccines

Position Summary:

The Sr. Technical Development Scientist - Veterinary Vaccines is responsible for driving analytical methods development for bacterial and viral veterinary vaccines. The incumbent will work closely with senior scientists to execute experiments and deliver experimental results and reports in a timely fashion.

Functions, Duties, Tasks:

Primary Responsibilities

• Bacterial and viral quantitation methods execution (CFU and virus titration).
• Protein quantitation, purification, and characterization.
• Aseptic techniques and small-scale cell culture.
• Assay optimization studies
• Familiarity with automated laboratory equipment.
• Executing study protocols.
• Proper documentation of all laboratory work.
• Effective communication of study results.
• Prepare SOP’s/ working procedures
  

Additional Responsibilities

• Conduct SDS-Page and Western Blotting experiments.
• ELISA experiments execution.
• General laboratory upkeep and maintenance

Minimum Qualification (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (virology, immunology, molecular biology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Chemistry) with 3-5 years of experience
• MS degree in a relevant scientific discipline with 0-3 years of experience.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment.
