Job Description

Sage Veterinary Imaging’s mission is to improve the lives of pets by getting ANSWERS with advanced human-quality imaging technology. Leveraging advanced technologies such as 3T MRI, 128 slice CT, X-ray, and ultrasound, coupled with our digital cytology lab, we optimize diagnostic accuracy, allowing our referring veterinarians to plan the most effective treatments. Our ACVR-accredited clinics are teaching institutions training interns and residents to become radiologists.

Case Management: Manage all cases, consult on scheduling, medical oversight, internal and external communications, etc. Ongoing case/primary care is provided by the referring veterinarian. The Imaging Director makes decisions for continuation of patient care to specialty care centers and recommends appropriate follow-on diagnostics.

Medical Responsibility and Oversight: Responsible for running anesthesia (protocols created by board-certified anesthesiologists), blood work, physical exams; proficiency with orthopedic and neurologic assessments and related medical tasks. Ensure all established SOPs are followed; medical excellence is maintained.

Drug Administration and Compliance, Patient Care, Client and Internal Communications, Site Operations, Staff Management, Financial Oversight, Community Outreach.

Qualifications
  • DVM/VMD, eligible for a TX license.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced clinic or ER.
  • Referral experience to/from primary care and specialty care veterinarians.
  • Ability to collaborate through a hybrid-staffing and communication model.
  • Desire to learn research-grade, human-quality imaging technology.
  • Track record of prioritizing excellent patient care.
  • Effective written and verbal communication, even in stressful situations.
