Job Description

*Open to remote candidates in U.S. in Eastern Time Zone*

Position Summary:

  • The purpose of this role is to work closely with the Zoetis Tech & Digital (ZTD) Project Delivery and Technical Operations team and support external service providers as well as the Zoetis ZTD infrastructure, functional and integration teams to assist in design, build, implement and sustain systems and solutions to support the global business.
  • Provide advanced Basis support and independently resolve incidents reported
  • Work with ZTD Delivery and Operations, Global Infrastructure, Compliance, Security and Network teams to determine requirements for business continuity (DR), system availability and performance improvements
  • Provide technical expertise in design and implementation of solutions that improve business functionality and productivity using technology at an Enterprise Level
  • Provide technical insight in resolution of SAP Basis, HANA related issues focusing on root cause analysis and implement corrective action plans and ensuring successful resolution
  • Ensure adherence to Service Level agreements (SLAs) with minimal oversight from Senior Management
  • Ability to communicate performance recommendations and implement solutions independently
  • Work closely with job automation team to support and monitor executions and troubleshooting when failure may occur
  • Gain insights into new tools/technologies being implemented to support the Global Organization

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all new Infrastructure setup at the hosting provider follows the IQ protocol for installations and submit to compliance upon completion for approvals
  • Perform system refreshes, participate in scheduling of refresh activities with stakeholders
  • Lead technical Project production cutovers from Basis standpoint
  • Coordinate and work with job automation team for routine maintenance and upgrades including monitoring of BOT
  • Participate in Red Team activities when required; drive root cause analysis for incidents impacting operations
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lead initiatives in key areas such as DVM, HANA implementations, Statutory projects, FIORI
  • Lead Data Archiving activities of SAP systems
  • Provide SAP Basis support in implementation of new projects, upgrades, and migrations
  • SAP Business Objects administration
  • System performance tuning, critical job monitoring, and daily system health checks
  • Participate and provide support in technical emergency events and ensure resolution by engaging and coordinating resources across multiple disciplines no matter when the failure occurs, minimizing business impact and ensuring effective communications
  • Work with internal audit and compliance to assist in processes and procedures that are in accordance with Company policies & SOPs, FDA & global regulatory guidelines (including cGMP/cGLP/cGCP), environmental guidelines, as appropriate
  • Align and setup expectations with the service providers on ongoing initiatives within Zoetis
  • Lead initiatives in periodically evaluating SAP environments against pre-established performance benchmarks
  • Create documentation related to infrastructure, architectural diagrams, process and procedures and interfaces and updated as required
  • Lead the remediation of system vulnerability scans identified by Onapsis and Solution Manager
  • Perform thorough analysis to identify all potential impacts for change requests
  • Train and transfer knowledge to other team members, users and stakeholders as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical, System Administration, IT Infrastructure Managements or Business field; MS or MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of Enterprise SAP Basis Administration experience with multiple full life cycle implementations with 3+ years of hands-on HANA experience
  • Landscape Design, Sizing, Installation, and Integration
  • System Upgrades, Support Packs, Enhancement Packs and Disaster Recovery
  • Thorough understanding of computer infrastructure and operations, including cloud-based solutions
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work in an unstructured environment
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Strong work ethic with good time management with ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings
  • Extensive experience with system administration of SAP systems in several or all the following areas:
    • Basis Administration, Change Management, Transport Management, system performance, analyzing, ABAP dumps, workload analysis, buffer tuning, database administration
    • Operating system (LINUX or Windows)
    • Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MaxDB, etc.)
  • Strong technical skills coupled with knowledge of and experience in the following areas:
    • SAP ECC
    • SAP APO
    • MDG
    • SAP PI
    • MS Azure Integration
    • OpenText
    • GRC
    • NFe
    • BillPay
    • Solution Manager
    • Control-M
    • Business Objects & Data Services
