Job Description
As a Supply Chain Associate in IDEXX’s Memphis Distribution Center, you will work in our warehouse to pick, pack, load, and ship products to national customers and distribution centers. You will ensure accuracy of documentation and shipments, troubleshoot and resolve issues as required while maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse and environment. Schedule: This is a full-time, 2nd shift position. Schedule may either be Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30pm or Sunday-Thursday (Sunday 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Thursday 3pm-11:30pm). What you can expect in this role: You may be responsible for any or all of the following: You will pick, pack, load and ship products to national and international customers and distribution centers You will prepare documentation and products, ensure accuracy of documentation and shipments, and troubleshoot and resolve issues as required You will assist with or coordinate international shipping; review, reconcile and approve all incoming international vendor bills You will maintain a clean, orderly and safe warehouse and environment You will investigate and resolve inventory inaccuracies and provide root cause analysis and recommendations for corrective actions You will support inventory processes, solutions and strategies for the continuous improvement of inventory accuracy and order fulfillment quality; includes cycle counts, data entry, tracking, reconciling, documenting and reporting You will move and store equipment, raw materials and inventory for internal and external customers You will support instrument repair process including daily and routine shipping and receiving; track incoming and repaired materials, assuring system and operational readiness for the repair of instruments You will administer instrument repair and field replacement programs, coordinate all failure analysis and reports, issue periodic reports on outstanding deliveries for inbound and outbound units, and coordinate all field returns, worldwide What You Need to Succeed High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Associates degree or equivalent preferred. You will have the ability to work well under pressure and tight time constraints You will have the ability to effectively function in a team environment You will have the ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously You will have good computer skills and knowledge including SAP, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred You will have excellent customer service skills You will have the ability to work flexible hours You will be able to follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable ISO regulations You will be able to properly lift up to 70 pounds; ability to move up to 100 pounds with assistance For distribution and material handling work: Certificate to operate a forklift may be required; certificate to work with hazardous materials may be required; knowledge of export documentation and international traffic may be required; previous experience with dangerous goods is preferred; knowledge of customs rules, regulations and export documentation preferred Physical Demands Warehouse-type environment Ability to lift 50lbs. Cold room temperature 35.6 to 44.6 *F Freezer room temperature -25 -10 *F and below Work Environment Normal warehouse environment where protective clothing may be required Moderate to high noise level While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and can be exposed to risk of electrical shock.
