(Archived) Supply Chain Associate/ Material Handler (2nd shift)

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for warehouse material handling which includes moving and storing equipment, raw materials and inventory for internal and external customers. Material handling includes picking, packing, cleaning, and inventory management. Exceeding customer expectations is one of our guiding principles at IDEXX. Primary Duties and Responsibilities May be responsible for any or all of the following: Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials where needed, and staging finished product. Receives return material and supplies from production by verifying materials, lot numbers, and quantities. Performs all inventory and product moves using the RF scanner and WMS technology. Maintains inventory by verifying picked materials and reporting discrepancies. Collaborates with team members and internal partners to achieve optimal material flow. Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations. Schedule This is a 2nd shift position; the hours are 3-11:30pm. We are also open to part-time. Education High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Required Skills and Abilities Ability to work well under pressure and tight time constraints Ability to effectively function in a team environment Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to perform basic math and unit of measure conversions Excellent computer skills and knowledge including SAP, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred Continuous improvement mindset Able to follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable ISO regulations Able to properly lift up to 70 pounds; ability to move up to 100 pounds with assistance For distribution and material handling work: Certificate to operate a forklift may be required; certificate to work with hazardous materials may be required; knowledge of export documentation and international traffic may be required; previous experience with dangerous goods is preferred; knowledge of customs rules, regulations and export documentation preferred Physical Demands Warehouse-type environment Ability to lift 50lbs. Work Environment Normal warehouse environment where protective clothing may be required Moderate to high noise level While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and can be exposed to risk of electrical shock.
