Veterinary Sales Representative

CP Medical is seeking a Veterinary Regional Sales Representative to join our Sales team. We are a leading manufacturer and distributor of surgical solutions, specializing in products for wound closure and specialty surgical applications in the veterinary and medical markets.
This exciting opportunity is responsible for solution selling, territory management, and business planning capabilities. Execute strategies to maximize sales performance within the assigned geography. Supports and drives the sale of CP Medical and licensed products directly to veterinarians and through veterinary distribution partners. Provides support and
service to existing distributor’s accounts in a large geographic territory to meet and exceed sales goals. Provides input and implements plan which include building volume with existing customers and providing supervisory customer service. Delivers training and mentoring to other members of sales team. This position will be remote and will require travel and some evening work for educational programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Meet overall sales objectives (quota) for key growth products via demand generation within targeted geography
  • Close new sales leads to generate revenue for all products
  • Consistently build and exhibit relevant technical knowledge, verbal fluency, and veterinary practice expertise
  • Successfully launch new products, service offerings and generate new sales leads
  • Consistently demonstrate Solution Selling capabilities
  • Build effective relationships and service all targeted clinics / personnel
  • Maintain, grow relevance, and access each account.
  • Interact with customers following all CP Medical promotional guidelines
  • Develop and execute a Territory Business Plan effectively implementing the full complement of CP Medical resources and following up to maximize ROI
  • Meet field activity expectations including sales call activity and new sales generation
  • Develop and execute a call-cycle at the account and veterinarian level that delivers our reach / frequency expectations
  • Work with all CP Medical colleagues in a professional manner to include consistently meeting expectations around integrity/compliance, work-ethic, role/responsibility, conduct/attire, effective communication/informing, all administrative responsibilities, and overall teamwork

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
LOCATION: Remote, residing within assigned region
DEPARTMENT: Sales Department
REPORTS TO: National Sales Manager
SUPERVISES: No direct reports

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in relevant area.
EXPERIENCE 5+ years of relevant experience, (sales or operational experience in veterinary, medical device, or dental channel sales and/or products) or equivalent combination education/experience.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proven success in previous roles including creatively finding opportunities or solving problems to drive sales performance.
  • 3-10 years of documented and successful consultative sales experience
  • Exemplifies what it means to be a change agent, continuous learner, and pushing self / others beyond dominant logic
  • Uses analytics and insights to enhance decision-making and tactical execution.
  • Follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage assigned expense budgets
  • Highly focused and results oriented, able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues in initial stages.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a close team environment, self-starter
  • Animal Health experience and knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine
  • Exhibit willingness to accept and incorporate feedback
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and make thoughtful / fair decisions based on relevant information
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn CP Medical Systems
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work some evenings as required by the position

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Minimum of 40 hours a week including regular business
  • 75% Travel expected
