The Digital Marketing Technologist role at Dechra is an integral and essential part of the Marketing Team. The selected candidate will be a part of Dechra's "in-house digital agency". It is a fast-paced team that primarily serves our marketing and sales departments (although we have other internal customers/stakeholders). This team is dedicated to enabling sales and building leads by generating effective campaigns through creative use of graphic design, building user-centric digital experiences, and by utilizing a solid and savvy understanding of digital analytics.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Print Design
  • Complete understanding of what it means to be print-ready
  • Understanding of 12 column grid system and overall page layout
  • Great use of typography
  • Previous experience creating catalogs, brochures, ads, labels, booth graphics, etc.
  • Web Design
    • Building and maintaining internal and external websites
    • Pixel perfect imagery for standard displays and hi-res displays
    • Understanding of mobile-ready / mobile-first design
    • Banner packs and ability to make best use of a small pixel dimension
    • Landing pages and understanding of lead generating design
    • Ability to design and mock-up a full website
  • Front-End Development
    • HTML e-mails; responsive coding, testing, and troubleshooting
    • Landing pages; responsive coding, testing, and troubleshooting
    • CSS
  • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
    • Review data and make data-driven decisions
    • Offer ideas on how to improve lead generation
  • Marketing Automation
    • Building emails, landing pages, understanding and use of forms
    • Lead generation funnel
    • Experience with Pardot (is a plus)
  • Understanding of A/B testing
  • Understanding of marketing “best practices”
  • Solid understanding of user experience (UX / CX)
  • Video editing (is a plus)
  • SEO & SEM (is a plus)
  • Understanding animal health (is a plus)
  • Experience with regulatory affairs and CVM regulations (is a plus)

Desired Skills

  • Solid experience with:
    • Adobe products: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and InDesign
    • Google Analytics, Google Data Studio
  • Ability to code using front-end development
  • Understanding of CMS platforms (WordPress, etc.)
  • A creative and analytic mind
  • Responsive and modern web techniques
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (Marketo, Hubspot, Pardot, etc.)
  • Mid to senior-level graphic design skills (typography, grid system, branding etc.)
  • Understanding of desktop publishing software (Microsoft Office)
Requirements
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a graphic and digital designer, including a portfolio of websites and print and digital advertisements (animal health industry a plus but not mandatory)
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Go To Webinar a plus but not required
  • Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-moving hands on entrepreneurial environment as a team member, and a desire to grow with the Company
  • Positive attitude and willingness to be flexible and contribute to all areas of company and team growth
  • Ability to travel as required - up to 25%
