Position Summary - Territory Sales Manager (Animal Health)

We’re an Australian based, but globally focused Company, seeking a highly capable Animal Health Territory Sales Manager to be part of our new and exciting team with big U.S growth ambitions.

We are developing a number of products within the global companion animal health, and you will be a key member of the team launching our first product in the canine dermatology category and sold exclusively though veterinary clinics.

Your initial responsibilities will include working closely with our global marketing manager, and distribution partners, to provide strategic input for driving sales goals and market penetration during the launch of our first product within the assigned territory in Florida.

You will play a key role in setting and achieving annual sales targets, developing, and executing on strategies to maximize sales performance, grow awareness and market penetration and be part of a new and exciting company with big goals.

This position requires excellent sales, customer service and leaderships skills, with a proven track record in companion animal health pharmaceutical sales and a strong understanding of the Florida Veterinary market. You will have the ability to seek and develop business for a new and exciting entrant in the dermatology category and be comfortable working with some ambiguity that is typical for a new company launching its first product.

You must be a motivated self-starter, who is resilient, adaptive, able to work with a virtual team, and excited to work with us.

Most importantly, you must have the ability to thrive in a Company that’s small, but well-funded and extremely ambitious. The position will also be remote and will require travel and some evening work for educational programs.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and foster relationships with key personal in veterinary clinics
  • Successfully launch a new product with veterinarians
  • Input into the development of educational strategies that drive adoption and repeat business
  • Consistently build and demonstrate relevant technical knowledge, and be able to comfortably present new product concepts to veterinarians
  • Develop and execute a Territory Business Plan / Resource Allocation to maximize ROI
  • Key liaison with local veterinary associations coordinating efforts surrounding the state VMA meeting
  • Be able to consistently demonstrate Solution Selling capabilities

Technical Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in animal health sales
  • Veterinary degree advantageous but not essential
  • Verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to learn the Company’s CRM system to manage all aspects of business: sales leads, daily activity, report generation, including providing timely and accurate feedback

Remmuneration

  • Competitive base salary commensurate to experience
  • Bonus structure of up to 25% on top of base, subject to agreed milestones and experience of candidate
