Job Description

We are looking for an experienced key account manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our current and future customers in the animal health industry. If you have a flair for client communication and understand consumer behavior, we'd like to meet you. The right candidate will represent Pharmgate Animal Health in the North Central Region of the U.S.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Key Account Manager will develop and maintain business relationships with assigned accounts. In addition he/she will be responsible for developing and expanding current and prospective customers to generate sales, improve market share and increase sales and distribution of Pharmgate products.

Essential Functions:

  • Establish appropriate relationships with assigned key accounts of veterinarians and producers.
  • Seek to understand customer’s needs and position our products to satisfy those needs.
  • Act as liaison for internal and external communications with assigned accounts. Manage ongoing communications to ensure a positive relationship with the assigned accounts. Provide regular status reports and feedback to internal customers.
  • Support sales through professional level support to swine veterinarians, producers, and distributors.
  • Participate in cross functional groups to establish marketing campaigns, product direction and productive solutions.
  • Attends trade shows and conferences.
  • Requires overnight travel (50-75%) in order to support and maintain key accounts.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Required Education and Experience:

  • A BS/BA degree with a minimum of 7 (seven) years account management and sales.
  • Experience working with veterinary practices and animal producers.
  • Ability to utilize excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively outline, educate and solicit commitment from customers.
  • Willing to be trained and learn Pharmgate Animal Health’s robust product lines and practices, animal health problems and remedies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a vehicle.
