Description: The basic purpose of this role is to guide the customer and the core sales team to successful sales and installation of SoundTalks as well as outline post sales activities (like intervention guidance implementation) to demonstrate the value of SoundTalks to the customer. The Associate Key Account Manager, SoundTalks will lead the SoundTalks customer journey to generate interest around the product with internal and external customers/stakeholders through product knowledge and excellent communication skills. This role will guide the sales account teams through pre and post sales processes to ensure worthwhile customer feedback and a positive customer experience. The incumbent provides tier 2 customer service support for direct customer inquiries and expedite escalation of service support as needed as well as collects customer information to be used to demonstrate the value of the product to the customer and to assess customer satisfaction. This role will use this information to generate insights for the company, and the customer, that continue to drive the product forward through expanding sales or product improvement. The incumbent is expected to work collaboratively with multiple company and customer teams, i.e., sharing of best practice and learnings and regularly align with IHM team and Global Strategic Marketing, Swine. Duties & Responsibilities: Ensures a positive customer experience by training customers on installations, alerts, and implementation of an intervention plan. Coaches the attending veterinarian and/or production system leadership - together with KAVs - on how to set up intervention strategies. Provides second level customer support escalated from Customer Service and remove systematic roadblocks. Escalates complex customer issues to Data Global Strategic Marketing or SoundTalks. Responsible for collection of customer data - together with KAM's and KAV's - for value demonstration of SoundTalks and data value demonstration. Uses accessible data resources from customers to demonstrate value for the customer (and the business) and drive customer satisfaction. Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g., EEO, FDA, etc.) and Company policy and procedures. Immediately reports noted/observed violations to management. Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts to maintain BIVI's excellent reputation within the animal health community and internally. Interfaces with all levels of Key Accounts from corporate to production/field level and veterinarians. Inter-departmental/external interfaces within BI. Responsible for specie specific selling and product knowledge but needs to be able to work across divisions/support staff and potentially upwards within the S&M hierarchy when needed. Account Management: Implements and executes effective SoundTalks sales and services strategies that align with the customer business plan for targeted product families including customer product introductions & maintenance to maximum share across swine key accounts. Works with IHM, KAM & KAV teams to develop a knowledge base of key accounts, including their business profile, key players, competition, business processes, culture, technology footprint and strategies to identify accounts for SoundTalks that will deliver best return on investment. Supports the product sale with coordination and planning of product installation and system implementation for customers. In collaboration with relevant KAM & KAV develops & executes SoundTalks account plans to grow BIAH business position. Builds a SoundTalks Business Plan with details by account, keeping it up to date on an ongoing basis and sharing its content with all Key Account team members and management as applicable. Within each SoundTalks account, in collaboration with KAM & KAV seeks to expand and strengthen BIAH’s presence by establishing relationships with decision-makers, recommenders and influencers, both within the customer and other third parties of influence. Facilitates customer satisfaction through proper deployment of appropriate BIAH resources including training customers on installations, alerts & implementation of an intervention plan. Attends and participates in customer team meetings and communicate regularly with Key Account team members to ensure alignment & customer satisfaction. Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred. With a Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in either a sales position or leadership role in a producer organization of the assigned species or a combination of such positions. In lieu of a degree must have eight (8) years industry experience in the assigned species, including at least six (6) years in a producer organization within the species with progressive roles including a leadership position. Must demonstrate an aptitude and desire to sell and gain market share. Ability to work with general supervision. General knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications. Proven communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (verbal and written). Must reside in proximity to assigned accounts to effectively and efficiently lead and impact accounts. Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record. Authorization and ability to drive a Company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle. Global SAM Competencies. Customer Orientation - minimum average score for segment 1.8. Business Acumen - minimum average score for segment 1.6. Effective Execution - minimum average score for segment 1.6. Will be required to travel (up to 50%). Ability to operate in modern confined swine production. Requires general knowledge of Swine Production, techniques, and standards. Ability to engage customers, utilize effective questioning to understand customers’ needs and drive the relationship towards a trusted advisor position. Developed understanding of business management principles and BIAH/customer operating models how and to incorporate into strategic and tactical planning and decision making. Developed ability to generate individualized customer business plans and define relevant and differentiated mutual opportunities. Developed knowledge and understanding to manage companies resources, such as trial opportunities, MAP funds, people, and training resources. Ability to learn technical product knowledge quickly.
