The Regulatory Affairs Associate manages the pesticide, feeds and remedy registration activities of the subsidiary, in accordance with the Company strategy and Group policies, to achieve the defined goals. The role maintains security and protection of confidential formulas as well as batch folders and product specification. The position is also responsible for submission preparation of the following: Product listings for F&DA SPLs, and the Compendium. The role assists the department with routine administrative requirements, such as budget management.

Essential Functions

Regulatory Affairs

  • Ensures that all pesticides, feeds and remedies are in compliance with the relevant regulatory agencies, including all aspects of registration with necessary states, label text, selling materials and manufacturing standards.
  • Manages the product registration process by liaison with Manager of Scientific Affairs and QA/QC
  • Supports the registration efforts for Vétoquinol USA products in export markets and notifying distributors of pending packaging or label changes.

Administrative Assistance

  • Submits annual input for Compendium of Veterinary Products listings
  • Maintains electronic file of all product specification, formulas, and supporting documents
  • Assists department with routine correspondence and administrative activities

Manufacturing Services

  • Provides product and packaging specifications to contract manufacturers with the input of the quality manager
  • Coordinates formulation review for all new products introduced to existing product lines along with the Regulatory Assistant, Quality Manager and Scientific Affairs Manager to ensure regulatory compliance: FDA, NASC, state agencies
  • Provides formulas, product and packaging specifications as well as artwork to new manufacturers as needed in concert with the Quality Manager

Sales & Marketing Support

  • Ensures product specifications are current and available to Platform Managers and Associate Platform Managers in concert with the Scientific Affairs Manager and Quality Manager

Planning

  • Ensures short term planning of all activity within the department.
  • Contributes to the Company’s annual budget process by defining registration budgets, label development costs

General/Administrative

  • Supports the company vision and mission, and demonstrates the corporate core values in all professional activities.
  • Complies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and regulations.
  • Compiles and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Follows systems and procedures outlined in company manuals.
  • All other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

Education and Certification

  • Associates degree required; bachelors degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of similar experience may substitute for the educational requirement

Knowledge and Experience

  • 1-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Fluency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Computer skills and proficiency
  • Experience in the animal health industry is highly preferable
  • Notary Public is a plus
