Position Summary

Deliver Project Management Office (PMO) oversight, guidance, and management of project portfolio for the Lincoln and White Hall sites. Project portfolio consists of large and small capital improvement projects as well as operational projects across the sites.

Manage large scale facilities construction and equipment installation projects, including all aspects of project delivery from initiation through completion.

Lead Site Master Plan review and update annually to develop, recommend, and implement long and short-range plans for improving and expanding manufacturing, research and development, administration, and office facilities.

Assist Zoetis project teams in concept development of projects, including need, programming issues, engineering solution, cost estimates, milestone schedules and value management.

Coordinate with Zoetis colleagues at the Lincoln and White Hall sites as well as across the organization to implement projects effectively and efficiently to meet the organizational strategies and goals.

Position Responsibilities

Responsible for administering the Project Management Office structure and governance to achieve site and organizational strategies and goals.

Responsible for compliance with Zoetis quality standards, state and local codes, FDA/USDA/EU/EPA/OSHA regulations on all assigned capital projects.

Responsible for adherence to relevant SOP’s and standard work documents needed to perform work associated with the department.

Organizational Relationships

Position reports to Director / TL – Engineering, Maintenance, and Utilities, and interacts with all departments at the site as well as interactions with network colleagues.

Resources Managed

Financial Accountability

Capital project annual spends in excess of $10MM.

Supervision

Manage project teams and contracted resources to execute capital projects assigned as well as organizational projects as needed.

Education and Experience

BS Degree in Engineering, Science, or closely related field required.

Ten or more years project management experience in the pharmaceutical/biological industry working on a variety of projects.

Five years of Project Management Office experience preferred.

Technical Skills and Competencies Required

Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work and resources.

Demonstrated effective use of available software and tools to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of resources to complete necessary work on schedule.

Demonstrated ability to interact with varying levels of colleagues at the site and across the network, as well as consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

Understanding of cGMPS, USDA regulations, Zoetis Quality Standards, and Good Engineering Practices.

Physical Position Requirements

Physical conditions include lifting, sitting, standing, walking, and some weekend work as needed.
