Position Summary:

The Zoetis ERP Delivery group is a newly formed team within Zoetis Tech & Digital (ZTD). The ERP Delivery organization is a key building block for a new ZTD Operating Model covering Zoetis’ ERP platforms, with the goal to differentiate “Build/Deliver” from “Run/Operate”. Its charter is to design, establish, develop, and scale-up processes and capabilities to deliver on strategic ERP initiatives.

The Senior SAP Program / Project Manager will follow a best practice framework for the planning, program execution governance, status reporting for all approved projects cutting across the platforms like SAP, Salesforce, etc. The Senior SAP PM conducts all activities and follows the process that is in accordance with company policies & SOPs, Zoetis values, FDA & global regulatory guidelines (including cGxP and SOX Compliance).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a program / project or multiple projects that have configuration, development, security, data migration, integration development and training in a closely integrated environment spanning across multiple platforms like SAP, Salesforce, and other systems
  • Manage project stakeholders, business, internal IT team, and implementation partners, resources, budget, forecast, actuals, etc.
  • Manage M&A programs integrating into existing systems and platforms
  • Manage multiple projects at the same time within the portfolio
  • Follow best practice framework to capture and document project charter, business requirements, project plans, staffing plans, and project cost estimation tools
  • Ensure master data planning follows best practices across the technical landscape
  • Ensure all SAP project goals are accomplished per specifications and business objectives
  • Project startup from a project management best practice perspective
  • Maintain project overall status metrics
  • Maintain project financial status by engaging the manager and vendors
  • Ensure projects remain consistently managed, with meaningful status reporting and escalation
  • Gather and analyze metrics to provide visibility of project health and progress
  • Follow governance processes for project approval and startup
  • Hold project status meetings to document progress and identify issues and next steps
  • Deploy global IT processes, develop, and maintain organizational quality indicators, and monitor stakeholder satisfaction
  • Understand key business controls and impacts of changes caused by functionality, technology changes and changing business needs
  • Work with business counterparts to ensure audit, SOX, and other compliance requirements
  • Identify and initiate process improvements (continuous improvement)

Key Deliverables:

  • Update project SharePoint sites with status, project timelines, risks, issues and communications
  • Update overall project status list
  • Ensure project financials are tracked on periodic (monthly) basis to keep up with the forecasts and actuals
  • Best practice project fundamental documents in coordination with compliance

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT, System Administration, Business Management, or related field
  • PMP preferred

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience with Project Management applied to ERP deployment
  • Experience with multiple full life cycle implementations
  • Understanding of Finance, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Commercial concepts and end to end processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational regional and global boundaries, ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a cross-divisional and cross-functional environment
  • Ability to work independently, effectively coordinating multiple priorities in a dynamic and changing environment, and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Adept at understanding customer challenges, navigating from problem to resolution and communicating process and resolution effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to interact comfortably with all levels of management
  • Experience in life sciences / pharmaceuticals industry preferred
  • Experience in handling change management in larger programs
  • Experience in managing SAP and S/4 HANA projects is preferable
  • Strong working knowledge on Waterfall software development lifecycle
  • Awareness on validation methodology that is used in the life sciences industry
  • Able to navigate and resolve ambiguities in a complex project environment
