Responsibilities
Area of responsibility 1: Receiving and documenting events into pharmacovigilance database as required
Main activities
Receive, triage and capture event data regarding inquiries, adverse events (including lack of expected efficacy) and product quality complaints into the pharmacovigilance database.
Exhibit consistency with high quality of case content, low number of errors and efficiency of case handling
Expected results :
Contribute to maintaining an accurate database to support good pharmacovigilance standards in compliance with all relevant Regulatory Authorities and Company standards.
Area of responsibility 2: Conduct all operations within the applicable Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions for the Department.
Main activities
Participate in and successfully complete all training for each applicable SOP and/or Work Instruction.
Apply directions and principles from all applicable SOPs and/or Work Instructions in day to day work
Expected results :
Help department remain in compliance with all company SOPs and contribute toward overall compliance with Agency Regulations.
Area of responsibility 3: Ensure quality customer support and service
Main activities
Ensure that excellent customer service is maintained when answering questions about our products.
Inquiries, animal complaints and product quality complaints may be received via phone calls, emails, letters and/or faxes.
Process requests for reimbursements, check requests, settlement and releases, and letters to customers.
Expected results :
Provide quality customer support while managing the customers’ needs.
Area of responsibility 4: Supporting and collaborating with the technical service team and other key departments in Virbac
Main activities
Assist the team and Technical Service Veterinarians in the department with various tasks (i.e. additional data entry when assistance is needed, special projects, etc.) and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Work closely with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, R&D and other departments as required to maintain high quality pharmacovigilance.
Expected results :
Improve efficiency of the team and help maintain Regulatory compliance.
Requirements (Diploma and experience)
High school or equivalent required. Associates or higher level degree from an accredited institution in Life Science / Veterinary Technology preferred or have relevant work experience (see below).
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a veterinary field (veterinary assistant and / or technician).
Skills
Ability to discuss technical information and use of our products to the customers, consumers, and veterinary staff with the appropriate level of patience, understanding and sympathy.
Effective oral and written communication skills and strong medical vocabulary.
Basic knowledge working with Microsoft Office, Google applications or similar
PV Works - Vet Database experience preferred, but not required
