The Vice President of Operations is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all industrial activities for the North American affiliate. You will lead across divisions including manufacturing, quality control, warehousing, and procurement. This role will report to the President & CEO and provide both strategic and tactical leadership building a culture of operational excellence in our manufacturing site and multiple warehouse locations. We are looking for a data-driven transformational leader comfortable driving change while maintaining our “employees first” core value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with business objectives. Provide visionary leadership to the Industrial team to achieve operational goals and drive growth by “challenging the status-quo.”

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee all manufacturing operations, ensuring the highest standards of cost, quality, safety and on time delivery of manufactured and contract manufactured products. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and improve site efficiency.

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. Team with HR to ensure effective communication across sites including compliance needs related to EEOC, NLRB and stated/federal agencies. Prioritize positive employee relations, increasing morale and ensuring GPTW (Great Place to Work) initiatives

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement lean manufacturing principles. Drive initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve overall operational performance.

  • Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient production scheduling, inventory management, and delivery of finished goods.

  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the manufacturing budget. Monitor expenditures, optimize resource allocation, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.

  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Promote a safe working environment and champion initiatives to reduce workplace incidents and injuries.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior leaders and global stakeholders to align manufacturing strategies with business goals. Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies.

Competencies

  • Successful candidates will have strong business acumen and a good understanding of financial and commercial practices to engage “end to end” strategy and decision making.

  • Have working knowledge of manufacturing processes, manufacturing systems, industrial engineering, product development manufacturability, quality systems, competitive sourcing, inventory control, logistics, and distribution management.

  • Ability to collaborate and build trust with internal partners which may require modifying personal style. High degree of emotional intelligence in order to focus on the needs of others, listen effectively to ensure meaningful outcomes of group endeavors.

  • Consistently manage a true sense of urgency and lead with courage, be energized by tough challenges and multiple points of inputs, including global stakeholders.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral. We are seeking a high-energy, proactive, dynamic, and committed leader who instills passion within his organization.

  • Absolute attention to detail with unquestioned integrity.

Requirements:

Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in pharmaceutical , commercial or food and beverage manufacturing is required, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
