The Commercial Operations Manager supports both the Pet Health and Farm Animal US business, focusing on S&OP metrics, launch readiness, SAP efficiency and inventory management. The role also reviews current business practices and SOPs to ensure proper documentation and adherence to globally standard policies. Success factors for this position are business acumen, strong communication skills including the ability to influence, and data analytics.

Key Objectives/ Responsibilities:

  • Support inventory management in region through data analytics, understanding of the concepts of replenishment (SS, MOQs, Leadtime, release time, transport time and local times), ensuring master data maintenance, and balancing risk vs working capital
  • Ensure effective S&OP process by understanding consensus forecasting process, metrics, impound and expiry dates, and launch priorities; promote S&OP process and governance within the region and represent US
  • Partner with launch teams, Regulatory, and Commercial Supply Chain leaders to ensure launch success and post-launch adjustments and communication
  • Provide updates on status of globally-defined KPIs and develop strategies to improve metrics and performance
  • Build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships with business leaders, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, and other key stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of SAP, especially around Demand and Replenishment processes
  • Understanding of Supply Chain concepts, systems, tools and business processes
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business (alternatively, CPIM certified or in progress) or applicable experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical, Veterinary or Consumer Goods industry
  • Strong business/financial acumen and analytical/problem-solving skills
  • Self-management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communicator, ability to influence broadly
  • Interpersonal effectiveness – able to understand different viewpoints and resolve issues in a constructive manner; able to operate successfully in an international, multicultural environment

Additional Preferences:

  • Demonstrated learning agility
  • Experience in manufacturing and / or production planning
  • Data Analytics/dashboard development experience

Other Information:

  • Work shift: Full time, hybrid (2 days/week in office)
  • Travel required (% of time) – minimal
