Job Description

The Director, Revenue Manager - Analytics position develops, leads, and executes the strategy for the Revenue Management Analytics functions for Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA (a $2 billion business unit). This is a leadership role, reporting to Executive Director - Pricing, Promotions and Customer Data, designed to establish best-in-class revenue management capabilities within BIAH as well as lead all species in realizing additional value through deal price strategy. In this role, you will lead the organization on how to realize effective pricing and promotion strategies to increase revenue. Be prepared to bring deep expertise to bear on the development and deployment of revenue management processes, frameworks and technologies. This role will be responsible for leading the implementation of revenue management best practices into the business. Key topics requiring deep expertise include, but are not limited to, standardizing deals desk capabilities, deal scoring and approval, contract support, transactional pricing analysis. The Director of Revenue Management - Deal Desk will be responsible for building and managing a team of senior pricing/revenue management experts, supporting all functions of the business. You will partner closely with the global head of pricing to lead and influence, build and embed frameworks, competencies and methodologies across BIAH. You will also drive the culture change within the organization, embedding revenue management practices within BIAH's culture at large. Our competitive compensation and benefit programs reflect Boehringer Ingelheim's high regard for our employees Duties & Responsibilities: Lead deals desk committee (consisting of senior leaders) to discuss related activities for BIAH Demonstrate deep understanding of revenue management deals desk practices, retaining expert status by staying up to date on best-in-class capabilities, and trends Develop deal pricing guidance, processes and capabilities to ensure complex and high-value deals go smoothly from end-to-end Develop KPIs to monitor account performance to inform recommendations on future pricing decisions Lead and consult the highest levels of leadership regarding revenue management topics, trends (cross industry, animal health industry, BIAH US) and performance. Must be able to frame the discussion to ensure management understanding and buy-in. Work cross functionally with Commercial, Legal, and Finance teams. Ensure that the Revenue Management Analytics strategy is cross-functionally well understood and aligned and that the teams have strong working relationships across Commercial. Build and manage a team of senior pricing/deals desk experts, supporting all function of the business Co-develop strategic revenue management deals desk content with global leadership. Provide ideas and get Executive Committee buy-in on key initiatives when necessary. Demonstrate culture change within the organization, through KPI tracking, process establishment and adherence. Drive decisions on a multi species, multi channel business that has revenues in excess of $2 billion. Synthesize inputs from Finance, Legal, Marketing, Sales and supply chain to come to a output maximizing conclusion requires a very strong analytical mind and strategic mindset. Ability to manage team of 5-10 individuals with consultants and contractors leveraged as needed Requirements: Bachelor's degree in quantitative oriented discipline, MBA or comparable graduate degree is preferred Significant experience (10+ years) working in related functions 5 years of managerial / supervisory experience with proven skills for motivating and developing teams Proven track record in Sales, Finance or Commercial Operations involving setting strategy and leading others at a senior management level High degree of personal initiative and excellent time management skills Results orientated with strong decision making skills and the ability to prioritize multiple objectives while meeting aggressive deadlines Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening, and strategy) and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse group of professionals Ability to drive change in a cross functional environment that requires multiple stakeholder buy-in Ability to work cross functionally and to operate independently Project Management: scoping, defining deliverables, business case development, managing risk and monitoring progress. Expert in pricing and revenue management Executive presence and strong leadership skills Eligibility Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required). Must be 18 years of age or older.
