Description: Manages/directs all material handling activities associated with inbound receiving, allocation of material to manufacturing orders and subsequent delivery and staging of materials related to manufacturing orders, processing of destruction identified materials, contracting OTR carriers for shipments from vendors and/or Third Party manufacturing sites and overall management and reconciliation of site physical inventory. Light Work (Level 2) – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. Duties & Responsibilities: Manages the receiving function within the BIAH Warehouses for all production related material, MRO items and administration supporting material. Works with Inventory Control team to manage the allocation of QA approved material to Manufacturing Orders to support all production activities associated with the sites. Manages the staging of Production material for released Manufacturing Orders and site replenishment strategy to support Production. Manages inter-site/inter-city shipping of Production materials, to include work-in-process materials from other Boehringer manufacturing sites. Manages/leads daily work activities, which include scheduling, personnel training (cGMP, quality, safety and technical), conducting safety programs, maintaining inventory accuracy, equipment maintenance and security enforcement. Manages the physical inventory counts and all related investigation activities for the warehouse locations. Manages the destruction/disposal of obsolete materials. Documentation management-ensures that all warehouse documentation is completed per related SOP's and the computer transactions are complete and accurate. Also all documentation files are maintained according to SOP's and documentation management requirements. Responsible for conducting all warehouse operations under the current and approved cGMP and guidelines. Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g., EU, VMD, FDA, etc.) and Company policy and procedures. When violations are noted/observed they are to be immediately reported to management. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in related business or scientific field. In addition to Bachelor's degree, 2 years professional experience. 6 years relevant experience in lieu of degree. Experience must be inclusive of 1 year leadership experience. Experience preferred managing and auditing delivery receipts and management of daily operations involving relevant SAP/ERP software systems. Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and database management required. Experience in ERP inventory control system(s), for example SAP, is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of Warehouse or related process management to include supervision of personnel and equipment. A working knowledge of cGMP, EU and OSHA Part 11 guidelines as they pertain to implementing process improvements related to warehouse or related function management is preferred. Ability to manage the personnel training programs. Ability to follow systematic continuous improvement methodologies and the willingness to identify, define, and implement process improvements. Must be detail oriented, able to work with minimal supervision and self-motivated to utilize resources to troubleshoot as needed. Ability to manage multiple on-going projects with aggressive deadlines. Strong proofreading skills along with excellent communication and written capabilities. Must be proficient in MS office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Eligibility Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required). Must be 18 years of age or older.
