Strategic Accounts Marketing Executive (24 month fixed-term contract)

Business Unit Overview:
The Alternative Channel Expansion (ACE) team is part of the Pet Health business and is a key driver for growth. Our sales are growing, and our team is expanding! Pet owners shop across channels and are looking for quality brands for their pets where they shop for pet supplies. Our core brands Advantage® II and K9 Advantix® II are the focus for this team, and growth is supported by strong investment in direct-to-consumer (DTC) advertising to drive brand awareness and demand for our brands.
As part of the ACE team, you will be supporting the sales of Elanco’s products through retail channels of distribution including Pet Specialty Retail, E-Commerce sites, Mass merchants as well as other specialty or niche retailers. Elanco offers an unparalleled line of pet health solutions to the consumer. The team’s focus is delivering against this key business segment with dedicated resources to achieve short- and long-run business objectives.
The Strategic Account Marketing Executive is responsible for delivering compelling portfolio growth solutions for our Key Account customers as directed by brand plans and customer plans. Supporting the Alternative Channel Expansion (ACE) team, the Strategic Account Marketing Executive has accountability to help maximize the sales of existing products and deliver perfect launches of new products, and drive excellence in commercialization through distribution, pricing, merchandising initiatives across focus customers. The role of this job is to execute B2B/B2C strategies aligned with Marketing and Key Account Managers (KAMs) and to collaboratively build activation programs.
Functions, Duties, Tasks:
Understand and utilize brand strategies / brand plans and key customer goals / account plans to deliver adapted and best in class corporate campaigns to drive focus brand growth
Ability to communicate account’s strategy/goals/must-wins cross-functionally to help advance decision-making and project stages.
Utilize best in class insights to identify potential customer strategies and develop customer focused monthly, quarterly, annual programs and promotions to implement in partnership with Customers and Elanco Marketing and Strategic Account teams
Support the development of the Growth Plan tailored to customer’s needs in partnership with Brand and Strategic Account teams
Support planning, execution, monitoring and measurement of eCommerce account merchandise strategies and tactics.
Helps manage/coordinate activities and presentations associated with account specific events and meetings
Track current programs and initiatives to deliver timely communication on performance metrics. Utilize metrics to make improvements to current programs to maximize results.
Collaborates with Strategic Account peers across the company to share and apply best practices
Actively manages professional development
Minimum Qualification (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):
Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
MBA or professional marketing qualification desirable.
Experience working in an evolving environment with ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities to deliver results
Strong verbal and written presentation skills
Willingness to learn and develop in role

Comfortable working in a matrix organisation and working cross-functionally
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Located in GTA/Mississauga-West; hybrid role.
Travel required regularly within Canada and occasionally US (United States), up to 10%.
2-year fixed term contract, potential to extend, suitable for postgraduate
