We are looking for an individual to provide technical and managerial leadership to one of our Animal Health Analytical Development Teams. You will supervise analysts to develop and validate analytical methods and apply them to determine the quality and safety of pharmaceutical materials, to support clinical programs and the preparation of regulatory packages for international product registration activities. In collaboration with members from other functional areas, your team will help improve our understanding of products in development. You will represent the Analytical Development function in the CMC-Technical Development Team whenever needed and pro-actively help the team to achieve their goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide the team, scientific leadership in planning and executing project budget, resource, and activities, developing and validating analytical methods, testing laboratory and clinical materials, transferring methods to other testing sites, and documentation. Lead by example.
  • Provide leadership in the provision of data and analytical documents used to prepare IND/NDA documents and response of analytical related questions to Health authority.
  • Develop and improve team and department operations, including developing budget for laboratory operation, advocating and implementing new industry and regulatory initiatives and technologies, recruiting, retaining, and developing staff, ensuring team compliance with all required training, safety, regulatory, HR, SOP, and corporate policies.
  • Drive improvement in team collaborative across national and international interfaces to other departments and business partners and managing non-BI analytical contractors.
  • Represent the Analytical Development function in the CMC-Technical Development Team whenever needed and pro-actively help the team to achieve their goals.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. from an accredited institution with eight (8) years of experience; Or
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution with twelve (12) years of experience.
  • Experience in analytical Chemistry or related filed, respectively, of relevant experience in pharmaceutical product development and management.
  • Greater than ten (>10) years of in-depth experience and expertise in analytical research and development.
  • At least five to ten (5-10) years of experience with leadership and management of direct reports.
  • Excellent knowledge of Pharmaceutical development.
  • Strong project and functional management skills and capability in building efficient and effective analytical development teams.
  • Leadership of multiple direct reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills.
  • Operational and strategic thinking.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • Achievement focused with appropriate alignment for regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Decision making skills are critical with the ability to solve problems with speed to change.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to take risks.
  • Capability to deal with a variety of challenging matters including set-backs and failures.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
