Role Description:

The Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Developer will be responsible for the architecture, technical design, development, deployment and support of business process automation solutions. They will work closely with Process Experts and the Business Analyst to identify, assess and deliver automated business processes. They will also be responsible for supporting/administering the day to day running of RPA processes in the production environment and driving adopting of new intelligent technologies. The RPA developer will work as a member of the Robotics Center of Excellence (COE) team and will report to the Robotics COE Delivery Lead.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and configure process automations per low level design and technical design documentation to meet defined business requirements.
  • Develop reusable components, scripts and framework which are scalable and extensible
  • Comply with and help to enforce design and coding standards, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure quality of coded components by performing thorough testing
  • Maintain the flexibility to facilitate change requirements as part of a structured change control process, further enforcing SME relationships.
  • Prepare the necessary documentation to handover automated solutions into business as usual (BAU) processes, enabling a stable production environment through adequate forward planning
  • Act as an automation subject matter expert for global projects and lead adoption and utilization of new technologies and solutions
  • Facilitate multi-functional walkthroughs and product familiarization to ensure the knowledge of others prior to final deployment
  • Work within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the Robotics Lead accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process
  • Schedule and run RPA processes and ensure the stability of the RPA production environment
  • Work on production environment incidents and change requests escalated by support teams and provide fixes or code improvements, where needed
  • Daily administration of the production environment (running processes, maintaining resource virtual machines, viewing logs etc.)
  • Case Management, managing and allocating process workloads to bots
  • Manage and investigate exceptions
  • Solve issues that arise in the day to day running of RPA processes and assisting in the provision of timely responses and solutions as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously to deliver on tight deadlines
  • Understanding of object based coding
  • Understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution
  • Ability to learn quickly and progress rapidly from theoretical exercises to real world delivery
  • Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience
  • Good written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation
  • The ability to work with a structured and methodical approach, combined with an enquiring mind
  • An understanding of, and a willingness to adhere to, formal change control procedures and disciplines
  • An aptitude for problem solving, with the ability to take a logical route to the source of an error
  • A self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges
  • Ability and desire to learn new emerging technologies, passion for coding
  • Self-motivation, project management, time-management, drive to achieve goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in Financial or Information Services
  • 3-5 years prior RPA development thru implementation experience
  • 1+ years of experience in .Net preferred
  • Experience working with a Robotic Process Automation tool, Automation Anywhere (A360) highly desired
  • Proficiency / knowledge of other Robotic Process Automation solutions will be preferred
  • Proficiency with Macros, coding languages such as C# and VBA preferred
  • Experience with SAP is desired
  • Willingness to travel to other Zoetis locations, if necessary
