Job Description

This role has been created to support the US Petcare Organization. The role will directly enable the development of the Next Generation Sales Engine (NGSE), an advanced-analytics enabled enhancement of the go-to-market sales strategy. The candidate will pull and analyze data from the customer DNA to identify opportunities to develop new tools/products (ie. ‘Value Strikes’). You will strategize new revenue streams while driving optimization opportunities and proactive direction for the Sales Organization.

The candidate will interface across the organization to answer challenging analytical questions and highlight customer-related insights, such as revenue generation ideas or strategies to detect and prevent potential customer defection. The candidate will also produce creative solutions to complex business problems using advanced analytical techniques, while leveraging both internal and external data sources. The role will involve frequent interaction with key stakeholders across the sales and marketing organizations and provide the candidate with an exceptionally broad view of every aspect of Zoetis’ business, while serving as critical support for the US Petcare division.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document their needs and potential gaps today
  • Develop independent set of business intelligence analyses to explore potential opportunities for developing new tools/products to drive new revenue streams
  • Develop and share reports of business intelligence analyses to support brainstorming discussions (ie. to help identify potential ‘Value Strikes’)
  • Propose new and creative approaches to retaining, upselling, and cross-selling customers and converting leads into growth (ie. ‘Value Strikes’)
  • Create compelling dashboards, scorecards, reports, and presentations using contemporary data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Maintain consistent, high-quality project and solution documentation

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years’ experience in operations analysis, data analysis, or business intelligence
  • Hands on experience analyzing data and developing data models
  • Powerful oral, written and presentation capabilities adapted to clearly and concisely communicate to executive, business, and engineering team audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, business, marketing or related fields

Preferred but not required:

  • Experience in consulting or business analytics
  • Experience with quantitative modeling

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, MS Access and an advanced user of Excel
  • Experience with data visualization software (e.g. MS Power BI, Tableau)
  • Adept at analyzing and using data to solve complex problems

Preferred but not required:

Hands on experience with Alteryx, SQL, and/or Python

  • Position is based in Parsippany, NJ
  • Travel requirement: approx. 20%
