Lead a High-Performing Sales Team as our Regional Sales Leader, Farm Animal Health (Western Canada)

Your Impact:

As our Regional Sales Leader for Western Canada, you will be the architect of our success in the Ruminant (Beef & Dairy) and Monogastric (Poultry & Swine) sectors. Whilst this is a multi-species role, it is predominantly focused on Ruminant, and specifically, Beef Cattle. This isn't just a management role; it's a leadership opportunity to coach, mentor, and empower a talented sales team across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Your mission is to develop your people and deepen our partnerships with the veterinarians, producers, and nutritionists who are the backbone of Canadian animal agriculture, ensuring they have the Elanco solutions needed to thrive.

A Day in the Life (Your Responsibilities):

  • Lead & Coach: You will be a dedicated coach for your team of 6 Sales Representatives, spending significant time in the field to guide their development, enhance their customer engagement skills, and build a culture of high performance and accountability.

  • Drive Strategy: You will own the sales results for Western Canada. This involves developing regional strategy, managing key national accounts, and providing critical insights on market drivers, competitive trends, and customer needs.

  • Be Impactful: Empower your team to be true partners, providing solutions that address the evolving challenges of modern livestock operations and integrate new animal health technologies.

  • Collaborate to Win: Work closely with our national Sales, Marketing, and technical teams to ensure our strategies are aligned and that the voice of the Western Canadian customer is at the forefront of our business decisions.

What You'll Bring to the Team (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Animal Health, or Business is preferred, though equivalent experience will be strongly considered.

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, with a proven ability to coach and develop a high-performing sales team in the animal health, livestock feed, agriculture or bioscience sectors.

  • Leadership: A track record of not just meeting, but exceeding sales goals by inspiring and enabling your team.

  • Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Deep knowledge of and passion for the Canadian livestock industry.

  • Exceptional business acumen, with the ability to understand the economic drivers of a modern livestock operation.

  • A natural ability to build trust and relationships with both internal teams and external partners.

  • Resilience and skill in navigating complex challenges to find effective solutions.

Location & Travel:

This role is ideally based in Alberta, placing you in the heart of Canada's agricultural landscape. This is not a desk job; you can expect to be on the road approximately 60% of the time (2-3 days/week), connecting directly with your team and customers across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Travel to our Canadian headquarters in Mississauga and occasional international travel will also be required.

What We Offer:

Elanco is committed to the growth and well-being of our team. We offer a competitive total rewards package, including:

  • A competitive salary and performance-based bonus plan.

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and wellness benefits.

  • A generous vehicle allowance and coverage of travel expenses.

  • Robust support for your professional development and career advancement.
