Job Description

Position Summary

Perform Central Service support functions and train in procedures to decontaminate, clean, prepare and sterilize equipment and material used in Biological Manufacturing Operations.

Position Responsibilities

Perform Central Service support functions and train in procedures to decontaminate, clean, prepare and sterilize equipment and material used in Biological Manufacturing Operations. Understand, follow, and complete process documentation in support of GMP. Maintain accurate inventories of bulk fluids and other components. Perform

environmental monitoring. Maintain equipment and facilities in proper working order. Understand and

follow safety policies as they relate to biological and chemical components and equipment to protect

personnel and maintain product quality. Assist in preparation of SOPs and validation of procedures.

Train in all functions of the Assembly department and perform other duties as assigned.

Weekend and holiday work may be required.

Education and Experience

High school degree or equivalent.

Preference given to applicants with relevant experience in biological production and/or aseptic

manufacturing. Two years post-secondary education with biological coursework desirable.

Technical Skills and Competencies Required

Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Good communication

and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and working knowledge of metric system.

Physical Position Requirements

Exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, live steam, temperature fluctuations, biohazards, continuous standing

and lifting to a maximum of 50 lbs. Weekend and holiday work may be required.
