Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Coordinates all aspects of finished goods inventory management at the Logistics Center, including but not limited to order processing, cycle counts, adjustments, reconciliation, location management, and ensuring efficient process flow. Additionally, performs carrier assignment to orders to meet customer service requirements and financial control objectives.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receiving/Returns
    • Coordinate the movement of product from supply • points and third-party vendors.
    • Check inbound freight and enter it into SAP. Inspect inbound shipments to insure the appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment. Take appropriate action for non-compliant shipments.
    • Resolve inbound delivery questions with carriers and suppliers to ensure receipt of deliveries.
    • Scan and sort small packages.
    • Research discrepancies with returned product.
  • Shipping
    • Schedule and ship customer orders for domestic PAH Customers to ensure on-time delivery using the correct carrier mode.
    • Coordinate and ship hazardous and non-hazardous shipments.
    • Assist with the tracking, sorting, and monitoring of all non-SAP shipments.
  • Replenishment
    • Replenish inventory to the pick locations.
    • Move product from the Receiving dock to the proper pick or storage location.
  • Order Processing
    • Ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently, and ensures the area is maintained in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
    • Monitor SAP for new orders.
    • Monitor pick line and respond to issues such as rejects, shortage, errors, etc.
  • General
    • Coordinate special projects.
    • Communicate business updates and changes to team members.
    • Update team metrics.
    • Order supplies for team.
    • Train team members.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Associates Degree or some college preferred.
  • Previous experience in distribution/warehousing including: computerized inventory control systems, pick/pack operations, and receiving; freight rating systems preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as Logistics Representative or equivalent.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Language Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Sound reasoning ability; proven skills to research and analyze data and apply information for business solutions.
  • Excellent problem solving and innovative thinking abilities
  • Able to develop solutions to routine problems following established Zoetis policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • High Degree of motivation; a recognized self-starter.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work well with people.
  • Proven analytical ability and mathematical skills.
  • Order processing and order entry experience.
  • Proficiency with personal computers
  • Excellent attendance record (including late arrivals/early departures)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work is performed in both warehouse and office settings. Physical requirements may include:

  • Ability to accomplish moderate lifting, repeatedly move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to grasp and/or maintain control of large and small packages, supersacks, palletized material.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.
  • Frequent lifting or with other means for movement of boxes, cases and cartons.
  • Ability to operate a fork truck safely and efficiently.
  • May also include bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers can also be expected.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
  • Use of required personal protective equipment.
