Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Inventory Analyst will be responsible for controlling the day-to-day operations of the Inventory Control functions, which includes performing cycle counts of the warehouse inventory, conducting investigations of suspected out-of-balance material and making corrections to the inventory based upon that research. He/she will be the key point of contact for any discrepancies or system issues that may arise. This individual should also possess strong analytical and organizational skills to enable efficiencies and deliver actionable insights that will support long term growth. Experience in working with SAP in a medical manufacturing environment required.
- Maintain, develop, and implement procedures that ensure the highest levels of inventory accuracy are achieved. Assists in internal training for new/updated processes.
- Reconciles inventory variances through appropriate investigation and resolution.
- Audits warehouse cycle counts and supports Internal/External Audits to ensure a compliant program.
- Monitors inventory movements and ensures proper execution which results in accurate inventory counts.
- Manage and recommend inventory levels based on data analysis. Assists Purchasing and Planning with maintaining Safety Stock levels.
- Collaborate with team to improve operational processes and Lean Practices through continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure compliance with Zoetis policies and procedures, ethical practices and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of colleagues and management across organizational boundaries. Candidate must possess flexibility and agility to respond to constantly changing conditions and priorities
- Experience working with finance/accounting for inventory reconciliation/adjusting.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in business relevant field (i.e.. Finance, Business Admin, etc.), with 3-5 years of inventory control or ERP work environments; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with SAP required.
- Relevant planning experience in a Supply Chain and Medical Manufacturing environment.
- Experience in diagnostics or medical devices
- Nationally recognized professional certification preferred (APICS/CPIM-Certified in Production and Inventory Management.
