(Archived) Territory Manager - OH, MI, IN and PA
Job Description
Aurora Pharmaceutical is searching for a Territory Manager for our OH, MI, IN and PA territory. This position would be responsible for building market share in assigned territory, establishing and maintaining profitable sales relationships with customers and prospecting and establishing new customer accounts.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Call on existing and potential veterinarians and staff as well as work directly with distribution partner's outside sales representatives
- Establish professional relationship with key personnel in assigned territory
- Visit new clients to explain product offerings and reviews client needs
- Maintain expert knowledge and shares that knowledge with new and existing customers
- Meets or exceeds sales goals
- Attends Trade Shows and Conferences as requested
- Prepares monthly plan, weekly call reports and expense reports
- Prepares, executes and provides progress reviews on quarterly sales plan
- Communicates effectively and daily with Sales Managers and/or owners
- Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment as well as part of a team
- Follows all VPI/Aurora Pharmaceutical policies, procedures, regulations and employee handbook
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Outside sales experience in animal health industry (swine, equine and turkey)
- Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator's license and have an acceptable driving record
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Must be able to travel overnight 50% pf the time to manage assigned territory
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3+ years outside sales experience in the animal health industry
