(Archived) Retention Marketing Lead – CRM & Loyalty

Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Retention Marketing Lead who has a passion for CRM, loyalty programs, digital marketing and deriving insights from consumer data. The role will be responsible for planning and developing our overall pet owner engagement, segmentation, and personalization strategies; relying heavily on data and analytics to drive results and continuous improvement. This role requires a candidate that’s able to be both analytical and creative, proactive in problem-solving, and highly collaborative. Candidate will stay current on new developments and technologies in marketing, inclusive of dynamic/personalized content, marketing automation, advanced segmentation, targeting, and re-targeting.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy, Planning, and Execution of CRM Program
    Develop and execute plans to increase engagement and drive purchases across our portfolio of products. Closely monitor KPIs and operational metrics to optimize pet owner interactions and engagement. Manage and update communications roadmap in an agile way to maximize opportunities and accommodate changes to the market and/or business strategy. Proactively partner with marketing teams to align and execute tactics. Leverage marketing automation and CRM tools to grow pet owner contacts through veterinary and direct to consumer channels, nurture the relationship, encourage referrals, drive visits to veterinary customers, and increase awareness and purchase of products across our portfolio. Optimize segmentation and ensure consistent, timely and personalized messaging across all channels.
  • Loyalty Program Strategy & Member Experience
    Lead the strategy and execution of Zoetis Petcare consumer loyalty and retention programs. Responsible for maintaining and optimizing program structure, member experience, digital assets (website, app, etc.), communications, sales support, customer support, forecasting, reporting, ROI, analytics and research. Improve authenticated rewards experience (website, and app) to drive purchases and engagement in program. Requires strong collaboration across marketing teams and business functions.
  • Partnerships, People and Agency Management
    Manage partnerships (internal and external) , agencies to deliver assets and tools that support marketing efforts. Partners should provide deliverables on time and on/under budget. Manage and direct two-three direct reports, ensuring strong colleague engagement and progress against performance objectives. Leverage a supportive coaching style to develop and grow colleagues while delivering against both business and professional growth objectives. Perform mid-year and annual performance reviews.
  • Consumer Data Hygiene & Enrichment
    Progressively profile contacts and enrich data at the pet owner and pet level. Partner with Market Research team to ensure segments are accurate and actionable for marketing. Implement processes and communications to maintain a clean database that maximizes usable and engaged contacts.

  • Measurement & Optimization
    Develop and execute a methodical test and learn approach to email marketing. Lead and own reporting and analytics for campaigns, journeys, etc. Design and execute test and learn plans

Education and Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in retention, database, and/or email marketing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Animal health and/or pet owner marketing experience preferred

Technical Skills

  • Analytical acumen and intellectual curiously to derive insights and innovative ways of driving retention and loyalty
  • Ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects under deadlines
  • A passion for working in a fast-paced environment with high level of teamwork
  • A proactive, collaborative, organized, and curious problem solver
  • Deep ability to collect, analyze and use extensive consumer data
  • Ability to think big and propose innovative strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
