Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that lasts up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Animal Health can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

The Animal Health US Poultry Marketing Intern position will be an office-based position supporting the our Company Animal Health poultry business in Desoto, KS.

The intern position will provide added value to both internal and external customers of our Company Animal Health. The intern will assist US Poultry marketing’s key initiatives related to supporting the field based teams with new marketing tools. The job scope and primary focus for this position is to actively support the marketing strategy in the following areas:

  • Marketing tool development: work with US poultry marketing lead to assist in the development of new and updated marketing tools for the sales team to use with customers.

  • Support marketing platforms: learn and manage the HUB, VEEVA review system and the US poultry marketing share point site.

  • Marketing agency collaboration: attend and document all marketing agency meetings and participate in the decision-making process.

  • Customer and internal meeting management: Support the organization and document management of meetings as appropriate

  • Communication: Regularly develop communications to the field teams to inform about new marketing tools and events. Assist in answering questions from the field about marketing collateral logistics and supply

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree program related to Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Communications, Animal/Poultry Science, General Marketing, Business Administration, etc.

  • Candidate must have completed at least 2 years of college course work by May 2021.

  • Candidates must be available for a period of 10-12 weeks beginning the last of week of May 2021.

  • Candidates must be able to Travel 10%.

  • Candidates must have excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills.

  • Candidates must have general computer skills including working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Candidates must be proficiency with social media platforms (Linked In, Yammer, etc.)

  • Candidates must have ability to be organized, adapt to a changing environment, work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Candidates should have previous work experience in marketing or sales.

  • Candidates should have extracurricular and/or volunteer experience.

  • Candidates should have GPA of 3.0 or higher.

  • Candidates should have Spanish speaker preferred.
