The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Animal Health Division can provide you with a great developmental opportunity and a chance to see if Animal Health is the right company for your long-term goals.
Our Animal Health Division (AH) U.S. Cattle Team Intern will be a Field based position supporting the AH overall business. The intern will provide added value to our Company's customers in Cattle sales. The intern will interact with customers to gain first hand sales experience and support our broad portfolio.
The job scope and primary focus for this position is to actively support the sales strategy across a territory via coordination and execution of sales support activities including:
Support our customers and our cattle product portfolio
Logistical support for market field trials assisting Sales and Tech Service Veterinarians
Developing and executing plans for engaging customers and meeting customer needs.
Participate in field-based events (trade show support; customers education regarding the features and benefits of AH products and services).
Ensure clear, concise and timely communication and problem identification with Sales and Tech Services Veterinarians.
For Field-based Sales Interns in Animal Health, you will be required to rent a car. As part of this position requirements, you will have to be legally authorized to rent a car in the state in which you reside/work in.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in any bachelor’s or master’s degree program (if applicable, related to Animal Science, Ag Business, Agriculture, etc. or other degree.
Candidates must have completed at least 2 years of college course work by May 2021
Candidates must be available for a period of 10-12 weeks beginning the last of week of May 2021
Candidates must have ability to travel 25 – 50%
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills.
Candidates must have general computer skills including working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to use an iPad
Candidates must have ability to be organized, adapt to a changing environment, work independently and as part of a team.
Candidates must have ability to travel and live in the region of the U.S. where the intern is placed for the period of the internship.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Retail and/or Customer Service experience.
Sales training and/or applied sales experience.
GPA of 3.0 or higher
Additional language fluency
