Lifestyle/Commercial Sales Manager

HUBBARD®, an Alltech® company, provides a full range of innovative, research-based animal feed and nutrition products. Our customers include meat, milk, and egg producers as well as those with specialty and companion animals. Our goal is to provide customers (Retail Feed Dealers) and consumers (Companion Animal Owners) with products and solutions that will help them within their agri-businesses and improved performance and overall health within their companion animals. We currently are seeking candidates who have a passion for lifestyle and equine feeds to fill the position of Lifestyle/Commercial Sales Manager.


This position will be responsible for growing the customer base and sales margin for our lifestyle and commercial customer base in the Northeast sales market (PA, NJ, DE, MD, N. VA, SE NY, and CT) and additional markets as the business grows.

Primary Duties:

  • Develop solid strategies to gain market share and new business distribution
  • Develop sales team strategies around working with independent feed dealers, commercial equine farms, equine veterinarians, and key influencers
  • Identify, recruit, and retain quality sales staff that possess the product knowledge and selling skills needed to effectively retain customers, grow market share across the Lifestyle business
  • Assist in the development of annual budgeting and forecasting in expense areas along with sales volume budgets. Hold staff accountable for approved budgets, margin growth and expense categories
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints, working with others in the plant and office as needed
  • Support the Credit Department and ensure customer accounts are managed within established guidelines
  • Participate in long range and strategic planning as requested
  • Lead monthly sales calls with key stakeholders
  • Provide regular communication with the director of sales around progress related to key strategies
  • Commit to training and initiatives that will provide enrichment for our employees and enhanced job performance


  • Bachelor’s degree in Equine or Animal Science
  • A minimum of 3 years in sales management
  • Must have knowledge of the Northeast Lifestyle Business-Equine, Poultry, Specialty, and Commercial species.
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Provide leadership to our dealers and their customers
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Overnight travel is required on an occasional basis
