Test raw material, in-process and finished pharmaceutical and biological animal health products according to government and company standards.
Conduct testing of raw materials and/or finished pharmaceutical and biological products following established test procedures utilizing analytical instrumentation, Computer Data Acquisition Systems (CDAS) and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), CGMPs, Company Quality Standards and FDA/EU Guidelines. Adhere to testing schedules to accomplish a high volume of critical work without compromising the integrity of the results. Communicate effectively with lead analysts and colleagues.
Education and Experience
High School graduate or equivalent. Two or more year’s analytical chemistry laboratory experience. The candidate should possess excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills. Basic computer skills required.
Two-year degree in a science based field with two or more year’s analytical chemistry laboratory experience. Preference given to applicants with BS in Chemistry or Bio-chemistry.
Technical Skills and Competencies
Experience in an analytical chemistry testing laboratory performing wet chemistry testing and instrumentation including HPLC, GC, AA and UV/Vis preferred. Working familiarity with Word and Excel required. Operational experience with Water’s Empower data acquisition preferred. Working knowledge of the US and European pharmacopeia preferred.
