Position Summary

The IT organization, Zoetis Tech & Digital (ZTD), is reshaping to provide premier services and solutions to a fast paced, growing business. Growth is both organic and through a steady stream of acquisitions.

We are seeking an experienced colleague to join our Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures (MA/D) and Enterprise Architecture team. For our MA/D activities, this role will focus on activities starting with the point of valuation through due diligence for any given deal and ensuring a smooth handoff to the execution team. This role requires an individual who is process oriented but with a continuous-improvement mindset who can help advance our MA/D framework, and an individual with a mature background in Enterprise Architecture (EA) to be a key player in the formation of our EA practice.

The pairing of MA/D and EA will help move our ZTD organization forward in Due Diligence strategic vision and execution optimization with an equivalent focus on building our enterprise application, infrastructure, data, and digital architecture framework.

This role requires strong cross functional communication, management and leadership skills to effectively represent ZTD to global, cross-functional stakeholders and executives, both internal to ZTD and with our business partner.

This role will require an individual who is comfortable working in quick paced and dynamic organization. While the role is an individual contributor role, there are many cross functional relationships the successful candidate will need to establish and maintain in order to be successful.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as a liaison between the Technology Strategy & Architecture (TSA) organization and all ZTD cross functional groups for MA/D and EA directives
  • ZTD Project Management from the point of valuation through deal approval
  • Assisting in the formal planning and implementation process in coordination with all ZTD cross functional teams
  • Documenting and understanding the Current State of an organization’s IT landscape pre-Acquisition, Merger, or Divestiture
  • Documenting, revising, and understanding the Current State of the Zoetis IT landscape pre-Acquisition, Merger, or Divestiture
  • Estimating Project Scope, Cost, Effort and Timeline estimates pre-approval to deal signing relevant to ZTD in moving from our Current State to the Desired Future State post deal completion
  • Handoff to the ZDT organization responsible for execution of the MA/D effort

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of study
  • 5+ years of experience in the MA/D space; not necessarily in an IT discipline
  • 3 years+ of experience in the EA space; solution architecture experience is preferred but not required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Working technical knowledge and experience in the following:
    • Power BI or similar platform
    • SPARC or similar platform relevant to Enterprise Architecture
    • Enterprise Relationship Diagram tools
    • Enterprise Service Bus platforms (e.g. Mulesoft, Alteryx, etc)
    • API interface design
    • Microsoft Project
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
