(Archived) Quality Technician
The QO Lab Tech position works effectively in a fast-paced, customer-oriented, team laboratory environment in support of laboratory activities.
This position will support the QC chemistry department. Daily roles include
- Washing analytical glassware
- Management of hazardous waste
- Maintenance and organization of common areas using 5S
- Sample login, delivery, and destruction
- Ordering/stocking of supplies using a KanBan system
- document revision & processing
- miscellaneous project work
The candidate will need to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-oriented, team laboratory environment. High productivity and the ability to multi-task coupled with a low error rate and attention to detail are critical characteristics of this position. The successful candidate must also have demonstrated the ability to quickly learn new skills/techniques.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- AAS, BA/BS, in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science; relevant experience may also be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Job duties involve occasional lifting (less than 35 lbs), reaching, and sitting while working at computer terminal.
- Candidate must not be Cephalosporin/Penicillin sensitive.
