Nestlé Purina is expanding! Introducing Nestlé Purina’s newest factory in the U.S. – in Hartwell, Georgia – just shy of 110 miles northeast of Atlanta. We opened a state of the art distribution center in 2018 and production facility in 2019 – our first new factory in over 20 years! We’re thrilled to be joining the Hartwell, GA community and to welcome 300+ new members to the Nestlé Purina family. With more than 100 acres, this 500,000 square foot facility will serve as our most versatile facility with the ability to switch product lines faster and more efficiently, than we have ever done before; all while distributing the Nestlé Purina brands our customers trust and pets love!

Responsible for equipment and plant layout design, development and implementation of capital program and key projects, general upkeep and improvement of plant facility, electrical and mechanical servicing and efficient maintenance of physical plant, utilities and grounds in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures. Work with cross-functional groups of employees and contractors in the successful management and execution of key projects. Budgetary responsibility for assigned projects. Participates in NCE initiatives through operational Reviews (huddles, Functional Reviews, etc.), NCE Methodology, TPM, and leads problem solving activities such as GSTD or BDA’s

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the development, implementation, and coordination of the capital budget to improve and maintain equipment and facilities.
  • Lead and manage assigned capital projects to include new equipment installations, plant layout and design, manufacturing automation projects, and maintenance related projects.
  • Develop scope of work and evaluates bids for work completion.
  • Monitor outside contractors to assure compliance with all company standards including sanitation, safety, quality, productivity and budgeting.
  • Direct the installation of new equipment and/or modification/rearrangement of existing equipment for assigned projects.
  • Working knowledge of the engineering environmental activities including air, sanitary sewer, storm sewer and solid waste.
  • Research energy utilization to continually reduce energy costs.
  • Responsible for the cost schedule and performance of assigned projects.
  • Other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATION (Minimum)
Education:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering or related technical field

Experience:

  • 3+ years of capital project management experience
