Job Description

Zoetis, the worlds largest animal health company, is seeking a new member of the management team in Clinical Operations in Lincoln Nebraska.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

--This is an entry level manager position responsible for scheduling, managing and coordination of daily operational facility-related logistics which will require working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and Utilities (EMU) to monitor maintenance requests, work orders,/completion and overall animal facility readiness.

--The manager is responsible for working closely with GMS In vivo technical management to understand GMS serials scheduling assure optimum serial release testing/ study throughput.

--The manager will liaise with ARS management and principal investigators to forecast and assure that species specific census is always on hand.

- The manager is responsible for understanding cattle logistics, vendor contracts and will coordinate with GMS to maintain the optimal cattle census

--The manager will work closely with the manager of portfolio strategy and operations to leverage new vendor contracts and initiatives.

--Responsibilities may include but not limited to: Assuring the care for companion animals is provided in accordance with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the guidelines provided by AAALAC; interactions with multiple positions and roles within the VMRD organization including researchers, site leaders, clinical veterinary staff and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC); interacts with regulatory agencies by co hosting inspections and providing updates on needed resolutions.

Requirements

BS degree

Or equivalent experience in the science field

Two to four (2-4 years) related experience

Highly Desired Skills/Attributes:

Previous project management experience

ALAS certifications LATg

CMAR certification

Work environment:

May be required to work with zoonotic animal pathogens in an ABSL-2 facilities requiring shower in/out procedures.
