Job Description

Designer – Electrical ( I / II ) Job Description We planted our roots in St. Louis home back in 1894. Since then, we’ve expanded our manufacturing to 21 facilities across the United States and St. Louis has grown into what some would call a “hidden gem”. This “big city with a small-town feel” has everything you need and more— a rich culture with world-class schools and healthcare, an affordable cost of living and a neighborhoods for every lifestyle. Hours from other major metro’s or minutes from a bustling downtown, serene parks and outdoors—join us in calling St. Louis home.
In 1956, Purina® Dog Chow® became the first pet food made using a technology called extrusion to form distinctive shapes we refer to as kibble today. And by 1982, we brought this proprietary technology in-house – which became the founding of our Support Center housed right here in St. Louis. The result of this original manual machine shop was improved quality and a reduction in lead time for parts. Since then, we've grown to include a modern machine shop, investment foundry, and sheet metal and welding fabrication shop to support our North American factories. Additionally, we provide prototype development and testing, innovative design services and support, inventory space for spare parts, electrical and automation, mixer inspections and rebuilds, and capital purchasing services.
As a Senior Designer, we’ll turn to you, to take ownership of capital projects that will significantly impact our larger mission of enriching the lives of pets and the people who love them. Our culture continuously challenges us to Stand Taller and ask “What’s Next?” So, if your full potential could be unleashed, what would you add to the ‘mix’?
