Packaging Operator Responsibilities:
A Packaging Operator is an entry level position that performs general pharmaceutical production related tasks and responsibilities in a lean manufacturing environment. This includes inspection and packaging of products, as well as material handling and setup of packaging lines with “right first time” accuracy and efficiency. This postion requires high attention to detail with regard to ensuring a quality product is provided to our customers and ensuring production related documents are complete and correct according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). This position also requires the use of Microsoft applications and good organizational skills in order to maintain an orderly work environment. All activities are conducted within a safety-minded culture that strives for continuous improvement.
Packaging Specialist Responsibilities:
- Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with applicable batch records, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines, as well as applicable regulatory standards, such as current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and make minor repairs on packaging equipment
- Monitor, evaluate and adjust processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tasks completed
- Provide leadership to line operators as well as effectively communicate with support personnel and leadership
- Work together as a team to maintain production schedule and objectives
Formulation Specialist Responsibilities:
The Formulation Specialist performs the assembly, preparation, and cleaning of manufacturing equipment and conducts manufacturing processes for animal health products in the formulation area.
- Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with applicable batch records, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines, as well as applicable regulatory standards, such as current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and make minor repairs on formulation equipment
- Assembly, disassembly, and proper cleaning of formulation equipment and work areas
- Ability to work with hazardous materials in a controlled manner by following proper gowning procedures, all SOPs, and safety guidelines
- Follow specific and detailed recipe instructions, requiring “right first time” measuring and mixing of ingredients to create finished products
- Monitor, evaluate and adjust processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tasks completed
- Effectively communicate with support personnel and leadership
- Work together as a team to maintain production schedule and objectives
Logistics Specialist Responsibilities:
A Logistics Specialist performs general warehouse related tasks and responsibilities in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines, as well as applicable regulatory standards, such as current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
- Maintain safe operation of sit down and stand up forklifts
- Handle and transport hazardous materials based on DOT regulations and internal SOPs
- Material movements and transactions in SAP
- Load and unload trucks / containers and move materials using forklifts and transfer trucks
- Place materials in storage locations
- Pick, deliver, and return materials for production orders
- Prepare materials for shipment
- Train new operators or cross-train as required
- Collaborate with internal customers and enabling groups (ex: Quality, EHS, etc.)
- Perform self-audits and inspections
- Participate on teams as required (ex: Safety Team, Kaizen Events, process improvement teams, etc.)
- Work together as a team to maintain warehouse schedule and objectives
Aseptic Specialist Responsibilities:
The Aseptic Specialist performs setup, aseptic filling, inspection, lyophilization, capping, and cleaning operations in aseptic and non-aseptic environments.
- Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with applicable batch records, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines, as well as applicable regulatory standards, such as current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
- Adhere to proper aseptic technique and gowning requirements when performing tasks in the aseptic environment
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and make minor repairs on aseptic equipment
- Maintain proper cleanliness of aseptic equipment and work areas
- Perform environmental monitoring tasks to ensure a sterile environment
- Follow specific and detailed recipe instructions, requiring “right first time” measuring and mixing of ingredients to create finished products
- Monitor, evaluate and adjust processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tasks completed
- Effectively communicate with support personnel and leadership
- Work together as a team to maintain production schedule and objectives
Required skills, education, and experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Basic math, English communication skills, legible penmanship, and reading comprehension
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Basic use of Microsoft applications and general computer skills
- Effective interpersonal communication and a positive outlook
- Mechanical reasoning and troubleshooting skills
All work is performed in strict compliance with manufacturing standards and regulatory requirements in a lean manufacturing environment. This includes adhering to proper documentation practices and following instructions provided in standard operating procedures and batch records.
Physical and Time requirements:
- Routine lifting of 20-50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
- Flexible hours and overtime, up to every other weekend, may be required
- Manual dexterity and ability to keep up with pace of production standards
- Work Environment: Colleague could be exposed to airborne particles. Must work near moving mechanical parts. Eye protection and other personal protective equipment are required.
QO Lab Analyst Responsibilities:
The QO Lab Analyst works in a laboratory to analyze raw materials, packaging materials, in-process materials, APIs, utilities, and/or finished product samples in support of the company's quality program in the laboratory.
- Performs, documents, record checks, and troubleshoots qualitative or quantitative assays on samples using techniques that vary from use of standard laboratory equipment to highly modern and automated instrumentation. May participate in manufacturing QC support such as cleaning verification.
- Interprets and evaluates data in terms of accuracy, precision, trends, and potential GMP impact and recommends appropriate corrective action where necessary.
- May be responsible for writing routine assay protocols or conducting assay, process, or instrument qualifications.
Required skills, education, and experience:
- AAS, BA/BS, or MS in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science.
- A minimum of 2 years related experience in Quality Operations is preferred.
- Candidate must not be Cephalosporin/Penicillin sensitive.
