HUBBARD®, an Alltech® company, has a long history of providing a full range of research-based animal feed and nutrition products. Our customers range from those who produce meat, milk and eggs, to those with specialty and companion animals. We are seeking qualified candidates for a 2nd shift Utility Operator (hours are 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.) at our plant in Shipshewana, IN.

This position is assigned to operate equipment within established guidelines for efficiency, safety, product quality, food safety and customer service. The equipment will include batching, pelleting, and packing equipment. The operator must be knowledgeable in batching, pelleting, and packing procedures and properly document the process as required by Quality and Food Safety procedures.

Qualified applicants must be committed to work in safe manner, be able to read and follow procedures, complete required paperwork, and have good computer and math skills. Physical requirements include ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs., work in natural climate conditions, climb ladders and be physically active throughout the shift. A feed mill or livestock background is preferred. Mechanical background or prior maintenance experience would also be a plus.

Starting pay for this position is $21.00 per hour plus a $.35 shift differential for hours worked on 2nd shift. Upon successful completion of 6 months of training, the rate of pay will go to $22.00 per hour.
