Job Description:

As a member of the corporate Tax function, this position reports directly to the Senior Manager of International Tax Reporting and Compliance. This individual is responsible for assisting the Global Tax group with all aspects of Zoetis’ international tax operations including tax planning, compliance, and tax accounting in accordance with ASC 740.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares calculations and support related to GILTI/ BEAT/FDII, undistributed earnings and US foreign income inclusions under Subpart F, foreign dividends, foreign tax credits, and expense allocation and apportionment on a quarterly basis.
  • Maintains the US tax attributes of foreign subsidiaries including E&P, PTI, FX, and tax basis.
  • Assists in analysis of US and non-US tax impacts of cross-border transactions on Zoetis’ global effective tax rate including the modeling of potential tax legislative changes.
  • Research tax issues for tax planning, tax accounting and compliance reporting and supports global tax planning projects from inception to completion including repatriation strategies.
  • Reviews US consolidated foreign reporting requirements for federal income tax return purposes, including Forms 5471, 8858, 1118, and transactions reporting.
  • Maintains transactions reporting log, legal entity listing including US tax classifications, and global legal entity organizational structure chart.
  • Identifies, researches, manages, and documents federal and international tax issues.
  • Performs accurate analysis and summarization of financial and tax information involving large volumes of financial data.
  • Manages data and information needs for outside service providers.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • Master’s in taxation highly preferred.
  • CPA strongly preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years combined public accounting and/or corporate experience with emphasis on planning, tax accounting, reporting and compliance.
  • Knowledge of US federal tax laws including the Tax Cuts and Job Act (US Tax Reform)
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), tax accounting and compliance software, OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Income Tax preferred.
  • Knowledge of international tax concepts, such as foreign currency, cash repatriation, foreign tax reconciliations, Subpart F income, Section 78 gross-up, foreign tax credit calculation, Forms 5471, 8858,1118, and other reporting.
  • Experience in identifying, analyzing, and communicating complex federal and US international income tax issues, tax accounting issues and related implications on the Company.
