(Archived) Summer Intern – US Commercial Finance

Job Description:

The US Finance Intern will provide support to the US Commercial Finance organization while interacting with different stakeholders across the organization. The member will pivot responsibilities while assisting with special projects, as well as month end close activities and actively assisting the BU Finance Leads with the Forecast and Operating Plan.

Special Projects (examples)

  • Assist retail team in development of SKU and Customer level P&L’s to aid in profitability analysis across the channel
  • Enhancing process efficiency in recurring deliverables
  • Interacting with senior leadership to understand key management reporting gaps and working to develop solutions
  • Ad-hoc business development, brand development, and channel related projects

Reporting

  • Validate and Archive Anaplan planning system reports versus Essbase P&L high-level views (tie out PAH PnL)
  • Execute Anaplan Report checklist to troubleshoot forecast and budgeting errors (such as duplicate skus, incorrect mapping)
  • Provide support to business unit leads with ad-hoc requests (SAP data retrieves, historical financial trends)
  • Sanity Check data from Tableau dashboards and PowerBi Reports
  • Proof reading financial statements presentation slides

Month end close

  • Review accrual documentation for completeness and accuracy support
  • Provide support to marketing team with ad-hoc questions (vendor payables/customer receivables)
  • Provide support to Controllers team with KPMG PBC list (data collection)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Basic skills in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with other members of the US Commercial Finance team as well as members of the commercial organization

Qualifications:

Coursework in a financial discipline (accounting, corporate finance, cost accounting, etc.)
