Job Description

Open to remote candidates in the U.S., preferably in the PST time zone.

The Business Analyst is a key member of the Platinum Performance eCommerce and digital marketing team, responsible for completing profit-driven analysis and providing recommendations on increasing profits and efficiency for all aspects of the business, from digital and brand marketing and sales to product development, client services and operations. This is a highly valued role supporting business strategies in an accelerated growth, multi-channel DTC and B2B organization. The ideal candidate will be passionate about strategic optimization through data science, analysis, financial modeling and communicating business insights with data visualization tools. This role requires strategic and analytical strengths as well as hand-on data analysis, financial modeling and Tableau experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a companywide SME for analytics and Tableau, providing self-service data-driven dashboards for team leaders, custom reports and actionable insights throughout the customer lifecycle. Present findings and actionable insights to leaders throughout the organization
  • Align analytics priorities to business needs and opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, from gathering data from multiple systems, analyzing data trends and developing Tableau dashboards to boost the BI of multiple teams including ecommerce, marketing, leadership, product development and distribution.
  • Track and analyze business KPIs such as Client LTV, retention, product, program and channel performance and profitability
  • Identify optimization opportunities to increase product, program and channel sales and profitability; identify opportunities to improve competitiveness in shipping rates and model different rate structures and offers based on ROI and LTV
  • Create dashboards for multiple sales channels and special programs including loyalty and evaluate profitability and retention
  • Build financial models to assess and identify new opportunities

Ideal Requirements & Background
The successful candidate will be an insightful, data-driven self-starter who excels at driving results and possesses outstanding technical and communication skills.

  • BA/BS degree ideally with emphasis on Statistics, Computer Science, Financial Analysis & Analytics.
  • 6+ years of experience in an analytics and reporting role
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with SQL
  • 4-6 years of hands-on expertise with Tableau
  • Salesforce clouds experience a plus, especially Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud
  • Proven experience combining strong technical skills with data-driven tools and a passion for discovering, analyzing and sharing actionable insights. Expertise needed includes data analysis and analytics, financial modeling, strategic thinking, data management and synthesis, plus strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to support data-driven decision making across the organization and collaborate with a range of cross-functional team members
  • Experience gathering and synthesizing data from multiple platforms and sources
  • Hands-on experience with Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, charts etc.)
  • High attention to detail and quantitative accuracy and precision
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully build relationships with team members across the business; enjoys collaborating with a range of dedicated, passionate and highly engaged cross-functional colleagues
