Financial Accounting Manager Job Description Nestlé Purina is expanding! Introducing Nestlé Purina’s newest factory in the U.S. – in Hartwell, Georgia – just shy of 110 miles northeast of Atlanta. We’ve recently opened a state of the art distribution center and production facility – our first new factory in over 20 years! We’re thrilled to be joining the Hartwell, GA community and to welcome as many as 240 new members to the Nestlé Purina family by 2023. One more than 100 acres, this 500,000 square foot facility will serve as our most versatile facility with the ability to switch product lines faster and more efficiently than we have ever done before producing and distributing the Nestlé Purina brands our customers trust and pets love.
As a Financial Accounting Manager, you will develop and maintain the necessary accounting systems, procedures, controls, and audits to ensure that plant and division management are provided with an effective plant accounting approach that is consistent with company policies and operating standards. In this role you will provide financial support for plant and division management with reviews, analysis, recaps, forecasts and new measurements. You will also lead Nestle Continuous Excellence initiatives through coaching, feedback, and recognition.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage factory budgets and costs. This includes the annual operating budget, cost projections for leadership, and financial support reporting.
  • Complete factory accounting activities, which include general ledger closing activities in SAP.
  • Develop and manage factory accounting personnel through performance management.
  • Maintain factory compliance through adherence to all company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Other job duties as assigned, such as oversight of hourly payroll system and accounts payable/ receivable.
Basic Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an accounting, finance, business, or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in general accounting, cost accounting, operations control, budgeting, and variance analysis in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military, or related environment.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Must be willing to relocate for future opportunity.
