JOB AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Job Type: Full-time
BS or BA in Life Sciences or Business Administration is preferred; equivalent work experience may be substituted

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Previous work experience in the veterinary or animal health industry
Companion Animal experience required
Equine experience preferred
Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant experience preferred
Demonstrated understanding of life sciences and veterinary medicine
Must be comfortable giving presentations and speaking to large groups of people including veterinarians and vet students
Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
Able to lift up to 70 lbs
Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time
Must be able to travel some weekends

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role is a remote office based position. The candidate must reside within a reasonable distance from a major airport, but can reside in any state within the continental United States. Priority will be given to candidates in the mid-western or west coast regions of the country as we currently have an East Coast employee in this role.

This is an excellent position for someone looking to begin a career in the Animal Health industry or for someone currently in the Animal Health industry who wants to be a part of a growing team dedicated to the health and wellness of all species of animals and pets. This role will support our Veterinary Channel business in growing brand awareness and veterinary adoption of products via trade events, lunch and learns, sales meetings and training meetings. You will be a great communicator with a winning attitude that enjoys being part of a fun and innovative team dedicated to success in the veterinary industry. This role may evolve into a position that includes calling on veterinary practices within your region in the future.

KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Track daily, weekly and monthly sales event details and activities via Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool
Actively manage new and existing client relationships via Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool
Attend veterinary industry trade shows and sales meetings as directed by management
Set-up and tear-down of industry event and trade show booths
Provide educational training and presentations to veterinarians, technicians and other clinic staff, sales representatives, universities etc., either in person or via webinars
Attend required number of field sales representative ride-alongs
Provide follow-up communication to management regarding all sales leads generated at events and within given territory
Comply with expense budgets and expense report guidelines as directed by management
Demonstrate the ability to prospect, qualify and develop/understand customer needs
Ability to detail products effectively and professionally
Deliver value messaging to customers and potential customers
Must demonstrate self-discipline, integrity, drive, focus, creativity, innovation and resourcefulness
Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to convey ideas both verbally and in writing
Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision
